ABOUT
High up near the Blue Ridge mountains sits a 15 acre farm called High Meadows. High Meadows started the fundraising event called Troutdale City Limits. TCL is held every year to raise money for the local community in Troutdale, VA. Troutdale used to be a strong manufacturing town but today the main crop is Christmas trees.
The money raised at TCL goes to the local community center for computer training and new PC’s and to the Blue Ridge Discovery Center which takes children up to the Blue Ridge mountains to learn about the ecology, plant life and the solar system. People from all over (as far as Colorado, Oregon, and NYC) come to this event for a $135 fee to camp out, eat dinner, listen to a great band under the stars, and wake up to coffee and biscuits catered by local restaurants. All proceeds go to the community.
We have raised over $20,000 in the past 4 years not including the $8,000 in an auction for a memorial for a young boy who died in an ATV accident.
